FreshG1.0 - GraffitiCMS Theme
Adonis, 15 Jan 2009 3:37 PMPlease leave any feedback you have for the freshG theme. This theme was converted from a great WordPress theme, Freshy 2.0.8 by Jide to GraffitiCMS by Adonis Bitar. I've named it Fresh in honor of Jide's original theme and added the G for GraffitiCMS. In trying to test the CSS, I found a nice post by deepthought on maxpower.ca and I incorporated some of the Sawchuk theme elements you see below.
![]()
This theme has a fairly feature-rich config panel that allows site managers to rotate site header images on every page request (ships with all of Jide's headers) or easily select a static header. It's easy to add headers through Graffiti by using the file browser (site options -> Utilities -> File Browser) and adding the file name to the theme config panel.
Also configurable are the navigation menu colors, highlight color, right nav styles and post header colors.
In the aggregate list, I've done a couple things to the Comments indicator. If the post has no comments and comments are no longer accepted, there is no "comments" link. I've done something similar for the tags line (only shown when there are tags).
What's next for the freshG theme?
I've got some plans / todos for this theme. I'd love to hear what you think and want and try to incorporate your feedback into these lists.
Features:
- If Graffiti gets it, use a color picker in the config.
- Clean up config with better data types.
Add support for a left sidebar.Probably don't need milliseconds in post date stamp... probably.- Add Dan's redirectIfSinglePost feature.
- Replace list of headers in config with option to rotate all header images so users don't have to maintain a list. They simply remove any header images they don't want.
Confirmed bugs:
- Add tag rss feeds to index page for tags (currently there's a graffiti bug in that feed?)
- Transparency in header doesn't work in IE6.
Release Notes (1.1) - Release TBD:
- Reformatted post and comment publication dates to use time and international date format.
- Added support for two sidebars as well as selecting single sidebar on left or right through the theme config panel.
- Removed a lot of unnecessary CSS (now if only I could get the theme to work in IE...) - this is why the theme release is TBD.
- Removed some unnecessary images to make the theme install a little lighter.
What do you think? What would you like? Please leave me some feedback below.

20 Jan 2009 at 12:27 AMLooks great, Ado. I've been doing some Graffiti theme work recently, too. Well, actually I've just been scouting some themes - I've narrowed down my choices to about 20. I can't ever make a decision. But thanks for the link to the maxpower.ca post, that is very useful.

One thing I've noticed - when viewing in IE, scrolling in your theme is very slow. Move to another site and the scrolling is fine.

22 Feb 2009 at 10:59 AMGreat work! Nice to see some nice themes available for GraffitiCMS.
I fail to understand why GraffitiCMS hasn't been more adopted, it's a fantastic piece of software for managing websites.
Cheers,
Joakim
