This is insane during a vacation and having people stare into your room. Basically no privacy at all. What a shame - was just looking to Holland america sucks a cruise this winter, but definitely not with Holland America anymore. There are so many high end cruise lines out there, I'm not sure why I would settle for one with horrible customer service. I work in the industry and see a lot of cruise ships come through town. I won't be booking with Holland America any time soon. My inlaws pretty much only go with royal carribean and have been very happy with them. Personally I've been on two and they've been fantastic but I haven't tried any other lines. Celebrity is owned by Royal Caribbean and is their "premium" line. It's been several years since I've been on one but I've always enjoyed them more than RC - they just don't have as many sailings and it can be harder to...

I worked there for over 4years and I am just now getting my soul back. The hand never knows what the foot is doing. There is pressure to make unrealistic sales goals-the QA is really unfair-and it feels like the seventh circle of hell. Do not do phone work especially for this company --you are just a very small wheel in a very large cog. You are a robot. And don't get me started on the wage! I could make more at Mcdonald's. Support your employees better, give them a decent living wage and get it together! You are all morons. Excellent benefits and many good people within company. Great values on paper and followed by some. Poor systems to work with that lead to many problems for staff and customers. Invest more in back end systems to improve the customers post sailing experience. Poor morale, mismanagement from Princess as they took over managing Holland America and "reorganized". Spend some more time at HAL with your employees rather than ordering them with what to do from Santa Clarita. Pay attention to the High attrition, you are losing good employees and don't care. Princess was supposed to collaborate but they believe everything HAL is doing is wrong. Your response will be removed from the review — this cannot be undone. View All num of num Close Esc. Since this is a popular question, I thought I'd start a thread with current information when I post this. If the one being offered to you isn't there, don't panic! Different packages are offered in different countries under different names. Check if the second person in the cabin must buy the package if you do. In most circumstances, they do. That can change the overall picture. So, you need to do the math: Here's the most current bar menu I could find it seems Cruise Critic no longer allows people to post them there:. Mocktails are also on that list. Beer is included, and wine by the glass, but not the per bottle wine list. If you're a wine drinker, HAL allows you to bring one ml bottle aboard free at embarkation. It is for me. And, it's not just an issue of price. There is no Spanish cava on HAL wine lists. I love my dry sparkling wine, especially on cruises. So, I bring it. You may drink the wine in your cabin, or give what you want to drink in the dining room to the sommelier. That person will store it for you, and bring the bottle you request to your dining table every evening. It doesn't matter whether you dine in the Main Dining Room, or another restaurant, your sommelier will find your wine. I always set this up with the head sommelier as soon as I board. There is usually a desk in the Lido buffet, or by the swimming pool on the same deck. Same thing for soft drinks. You may bring them aboard free at embarkation. HAL serves Coke products exclusively. So, I schlep it. HAL has historically sold litre bottles of spirits for drinking in your cabin, available for pre-order after you book,...
